This may include previous leadership responsibilities, extensive SEN teaching experience, or a strong track record of success in alternative provision or special school environments. Teachers who can evidence expertise in behaviour management, EHCP delivery, curriculum adaptation, and supporting pupils with complex and high needs are more likely to be considered for the higher rate.
