SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant Pay: £90-£130 per day (DOE) Mon-Fri | 8:30am-4:30pm Full-time | Term Time Only Haringey, London We're looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-19 with a range of special educational needs, including SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), alongside associated social, emotional, and learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and helping young people with complex needs reach their full potential. SEN Teaching Assistant Role Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including SLD, PMLD, SEMH, and additional learning needs Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs and abilities Assisting with personalised learning programmes, care plans, and sensory-based activities Supporting communication, engagement, and emotional regulation Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Building positive, trusting relationships to promote confidence, independence, and well being SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with complex learning needs A patient, calm, and proactive approach Experience supporting pupils with SLD and/or PMLD (desirable but not essential) Manual handling, personal care, or sensory support experience (preferred) Strong communication and relationship-building skills Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable) Ideal for aspiring SEN Teachers, Educational Psychologists, Therapists, or Health & Social Care professionalsIf you're interested in this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity, please contact Aaron Nacey-Smart at Veritas Education.
