• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff and the wider support team
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes student wellbeing
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND in an educational or specialist setting is highly desirable
• Knowledge of a range of Special Educational Needs and effective support strategies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach to supporting students with additional needs
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
