Job description

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage SEND provision across the academy. Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (2014) and statutory guidance. Work closely with the Executive Head and leadership team to develop and implement SEND strategy. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision across the school. Support teachers in delivering high-quality inclusive classroom practice. Coordinate and review targeted interventions to support pupil progress. Deliver small-group interventions to support pupils with additional needs. Provide occasional cover teaching where required. Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external agencies. Maintain accurate SEND records and oversee identification and assessment processes. Key Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) Experience of coordinating SEND provision, ideally in a primary setting. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching strategies. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
