Job description

St Regis is seeking to appoint an Assistant SENDCo to lead the support provision for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. This role will work closely with our SENDCo, Lead SEND Teacher and the established team of TAs and Pastoral Support Assistants. The postholder may be required to oversee the deployment of teaching assistants while identifying and adapting the most effective teaching approaches for learners with SEMH. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for aspiring psychologists, teachers and education professionals to gain meaningful, hands-on experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs. The successful applicant would receive high-quality mentoring, professional development and exposure to evidence-informed practice within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. The role has an excellent track record of preparing recent graduates for postgraduate study and careers in psychology. Our previous Assistant SENDCo successfully secured an Assistant Psychologist post and is now on the pathway to becoming an Educational Psychologist. If you are passionate about improving outcomes for young people and are looking to build a career in psychology or education, we would be delighted to hear from you. St Regis is Growing! St Regis Church of England Academy joined Three Spires Trust in April 2023 and offers families a first-class education whilst promoting values of love and respect. Upon our partnership with St Peter’s Collegiate Academy through joining Three Spires, we launched a joint sixth form provision. In addition, there are many exciting developments taking place at the academy which will see it go from strength to strength. The is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving academy in an exciting part of its journey towards becoming a City-leading academy. Applicants must complete the application form via My New Term - we cannot accept CVs. Forms with missing sections and/or gaps may not be considered. We strongly encourage all candidates to take the opportunity of visiting the academy prior to submitting an application. Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and we reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made. We will review applications upon receipt.
