Job description

Key Responsibilities and Duties Site Security: Acting as keyholder, operating alarms and locking/unlocking the premises. Maintenance & Repairs: Performing minor repairs, DIY projects, and routine maintenance (e.g., painting, basic plumbing, changing bulbs). Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and performing fire safety checks. Cleaning & Site Appearance: To ensure high standards of cleanliness and supervising grounds maintenance. Emergency Response: Acting as the main point of contact for emergency call-outs related to security or site facilities. Required Skills and Qualifications Practical Skills: Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks and handyperson skills. Health & Safety Knowledge: Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with school staff and contractors. Flexibility: Availability for early mornings, late evenings, or emergency call-outs, including school holidays. Annual leave to be taken during the school holidays. Additional hours may be required during the summer shutdown for maintenance work.
