The Abbey School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teacher of English to join the English Department, to start from September 2026. We’re looking for an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. You’ll help students develop a passion for reading, writing, and communication while supporting them to achieve their full potential through creative and engaging lessons. The successful candidate will have an attention to detail, will work to a high standard, and will seek to ensure a positive educational environment through their work. This is a Full time, Permanent role, paid on the STPC Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale, dependant on experience. The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £5,000 which is split into the following payments - £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service.
