Teacher of Food Technology Middlesbrough September 2026 Start ⏰ Full-Time Competitive Salary (dependent on experience) Protocol Education are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Food Technology to join a successful secondary school in Middlesbrough from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with strong GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition experience who can inspire students through engaging practical and theory-based lessons. The Role The successful candidate will: • Teach Food Technology/Food Preparation and Nutrition across Key Stages 3 and 4. • Deliver high-quality lessons that develop students' practical cooking skills and theoretical understanding. • Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations. • Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment within the food technology department. • Monitor progress and provide targeted support to help students achieve their potential. • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who: • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • Has experience teaching Food Technology and GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition. • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills. • Is passionate about developing students' knowledge of nutrition, food science and practical cookery skills. • Can motivate and inspire learners of all abilities. • Has strong organisational and communication skills.
