The vacancy is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. However, prior knowledge, understanding, and practical experience of working with learners with SEND is essential.

This teaching post offers an exciting opportunity to join our Future Steps Hub , our specialist Post 16 provision based at The White Rose Business Park .
We are looking for a teacher who believes that every young person deserves an ambitious future and who can inspire learners to develop the confidence, skills and resilience needed to achieve it.

Learners develop the knowledge, confidence and independence needed for employment, further education and life beyond school through a curriculum firmly rooted in real-world contexts.

The role
You will teach young people aged 16-19 with a range of special educational needs, planning highly personalised learning programmes that combine academic learning with preparation for adult life.
You will:
deliver an ambitious and engaging Post-16 curriculum
develop learners' independence, communication and self-advocacy
prepare learners for employment, further education and adulthood
work alongside job coaches and external partners to create authentic learning experiences
maximise opportunities within the local community
support learners to achieve meaningful accreditation
work closely with families and multi-agency professionals to secure positive long-term outcomes.
Our young people (2-19) have a wide range of special educational needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition.
We offer an inclusive setting operating on the main Broomfield site and three partnership sites:
Windmill Primary School
Rodillian Academy
Future Steps Hub (White Rose Business Park)
This enables us to meet a wide variety of pupils’ needs and provide support and advice to the community.
Staff can be expected to work on any of the four sites if required.

has successful experience teaching learners with SEND

understands preparation for adulthood and the importance of real-life learning
is committed to continuous professional development.
Experience of Post-16, employability, functional English and Maths, vocational learning or accreditation would be advantageous, although not essential.
