They will be responsible for delivering a creative and differentiated curriculum while promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and personal development. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning * Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for KS3 pupils * Deliver a broad, balanced curriculum using nurturing and therapeutic approaches * Design creative schemes of work and thematic learning projects linked to EHCP targets * Incorporate functional Maths and English skills across all areas of learning * Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with ASC and SEMH * Provide learning opportunities in a variety of contexts, including community-based settings Pupil Support & Engagement * Act as a form tutor, building strong, consistent relationships with pupils * Support pupils’ emotional regulation, wellbeing, and personal development * Use positive reinforcement and consistent behaviour strategies * Promote independence, responsibility, and engagement in learning * Work closely with therapeutic teams to support pupils displaying challenging behaviour Leadership & Collaboration * Line manage and support classroom staff, including delivering supervision and appraisals * Work collaboratively with support staff to implement individual education and behaviour plans * Liaise with families, external professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams * Support the development of a consistent, nurturing classroom environment Assessment & Reporting * Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting * Produce progress reports and provide updates to senior leadership * Monitor attendance and raise concerns where necessary * Complete and review risk assessments for school and community-based activities About the Pupils Pupils within this provision often have complex needs, including autism and SEMH challenges.
