Job description

Skegness Grammar School is now recruiting for a part time Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract, start date 1st October 2026 (or as soon as possible) to 31st August 2027.  If you are a team player, inspirational, open-minded and want to be part of our success then we want to hear from you. Skegness Grammar School are looking for a Teaching Assistant to implement and deliver a rich curriculum and support the overall progress and development of our students. You will facilitate and encourage an engaging learning experience which provides students the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Ensuring that the students have the materials they need to carry out the tasks set for them Ensure a positive working atmosphere is maintained and that the work is productive Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures Following the school systems for achievement and behaviour issues related to lessons and recording electronically using the student management system Collecting, if required, completed work after lessons and return it to the teacher. Assist teaching staff in arranging classroom displays and materials. Assist teaching staff with classroom administration and accurate recording of data on the student management system Attend relevant INSET staff training sessions and other ad-hoc meetings Fixed term contract, 01 September 2026 to 31 August 2027, 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (38 weeks term time, plus 5 training days).
