Beacon Hill Academy Teaching Assistant Vacancy Main Site - Erriff Drive, South Ockendon RM15 5AY & Post 16 - Buxton Road, Grays, Essex RM16 2YJ The successful candidates must be able to work at either location. Band B, Point 7; Currently £15.07 per hour (inc. SSA) Position start date: as soon as possible Hours: 8.45am until 3.30pm, 5 days per week, term time plus inset days (part time considered) We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our Outstanding Academy. We cater for pupils aged 2 to 19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), where ‘achievement has no boundaries’. As noted by Ofsted (2025), ‘Beacon Hill is an inspirational learning community; the staff are passionate about providing pupils with the best possible learning experiences’. As a specialist setting exclusively for pupils with PMLD, we provide highly personalised, holistic learning experiences that support communication, physical development, and engagement with the world. We also recognise the importance of staff wellbeing and work-life balance. In addition to a supportive working environment, we offer a two-week October half term. We encourage all candidates to come for a visit to meet our fantastic students and excellent team.
