    Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor | Lewisham | September Are you passionate about supporting young people whose education has been affected by social, emotional or behavioural challenges? This Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor opportunity in Lewisham offers the chance to work within a specialist setting where positive relationships, emotional wellbeing and restorative practice are central to helping pupils succeed. This Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Youth Justice, Counselling, Social Work or SEND education. Working alongside experienced pastoral leaders, therapists and teaching staff, you'll support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience and positive engagement with learning. The school takes a proactive approach to behaviour, focusing on understanding the reasons behind behaviour rather than simply managing its consequences. Staff receive specialist training in trauma-informed practice, de-escalation techniques and restorative conversations, ensuring pupils receive consistent and meaningful support. Full Academic Year | £500£550 per week What the school can offer a Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor: • Specialist CPD in trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches • Experience working alongside pastoral leaders and therapeutic professionals • Training in positive behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies • Opportunities to mentor pupils on an individual basis • Small class environments where relationships are prioritised • Excellent preparation for careers in Psychology, Counselling or Social Work • A supportive leadership team committed to staff development Your responsibilities will include: • Building positive mentoring relationships with pupils • Supporting emotional regulation throughout the school day • Delivering structured wellbeing and mentoring sessions • Promoting positive behaviour using restorative approaches • Working alongside teachers to implement personalised support plans • Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence The successful Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor will: • Hold A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) and a BA degree • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Demonstrate resilience, empathy and professionalism • Build trusting relationships with young people • Aspire towards a career supporting vulnerable children If you are looking for a Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor role where every day offers the opportunity to positively influence a young person's future, this is an excellent Lewisham opportunity from September 2026.
