    We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Lincoln, starting as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher who enjoys Key Stage 1 and is passionate about supporting pupils as they consolidate early learning and prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2. The school has a positive ethos, focusing on high-quality teaching, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing. Staff work collaboratively to create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning. Senior leadership is approachable and provides mentoring, guidance, and professional development opportunities. As the Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally. You will help pupils achieve key stage milestones while fostering independence and a growth mindset. Key Responsibilities • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum • Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment • Use assessment to track progress and inform planning and interventions • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a love of learning • Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments in a supportive way • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress • Contribute to staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2 • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements • Be organised, enthusiastic, and proactive • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills • Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to professional development • Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing The school is located in Lincoln, with excellent local transport links and a supportive community.
