Do you have a passion for inspiring pupils as they prepare for the transition into upper Key Stage 2? A friendly and well-established primary school in Wickford is seeking an engaging Year 5 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a two-term fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where high-quality teaching, pupil wellbeing and staff development are at the heart of everything they do. The Role As the Year 5 Teacher, you will: • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum. • Foster a positive classroom environment where every child feels supported to achieve their best. • Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback to support learning. • Work closely with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. • Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote a love of learning. We're Looking For Someone Who: • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5. • Creates an inclusive and motivating learning environment. • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills. • Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
