Inspire Pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Aylesbury, starting as soon as possible. Leadership provides guidance, support, and encouragement to help teachers thrive. Your Role As a Year 5 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to the needs of all pupils. You will encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, ensuring every child achieves their potential. Supporting positive behaviour, resilience, and independence will also be an important part of the role. Key Responsibilities • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 5 curriculum • Use assessment data to monitor progress and target support • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners • Maintain a focused, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment • Promote positive behaviour and independent learning • Collaborate with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues • Communicate effectively with parents and carers • Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and CPD opportunities • Support pupils’ personal and social development alongside academic growth Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will be: • A qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experienced in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5 • Confident in curriculum delivery, assessment, and differentiation • Organised, reflective, and adaptable • Strong in classroom management and pupil engagement • Committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding • Willing to contribute positively to the wider school community Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and will receive mentoring and support.
