    We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Oxford, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead learning for upper Key Stage 2 pupils and prepare them for a smooth transition to secondary school. The school has a strong inclusive ethos and a nurturing environment. Staff collaborate closely to deliver engaging lessons, with senior leadership providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons across the curriculum. You will create a stimulating classroom environment, promote positive behaviour, and support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing targeted support • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and resilience • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development • Maintain a safe, organised, and engaging classroom environment • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and leadership • Contribute to school events, trips, and enrichment activities • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum, resources, and assessment strategies • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) • Have experience teaching upper Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6 • Be passionate, creative, and committed to high-quality teaching • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills • Be able to differentiate learning for pupils of varying abilities • Have strong communication and teamwork skills • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing The school is located in Oxford, with excellent transport links and a welcoming, diverse community.
