Key Responsibilities • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum • Prepare pupils for SATs and transition to secondary school • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners • Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours • Maintain a structured, inclusive, and positive classroom environment • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records • Collaborate with teaching assistants and Key Stage 2 colleagues • Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress • Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school-wide initiatives • Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6 • Be confident delivering literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills • Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable • Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive professional team Location The school is based in Stoke-on-Trent, with excellent transport links and a welcoming local community.
