A well-established secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a diligent and proactive Finance Officer to join its central operations team from January 2026. The Role You’ll support the school’s finance function through accurate record-keeping, processing payments and assisting with budgeting and reporting. You’ll work closely with the School Business Manager to ensure financial compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Managing purchase orders, invoices and payments • Monitoring departmental budgets and spending • Reconciling accounts and preparing monthly reports • Assisting with payroll and petty cash • Supporting audits and financial returns as required About You • Experience in a finance or accounts role (school experience desirable) • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail • Proficiency with finance software (e.g. PS Financials, Sage, or SIMS FMS) • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team The School This Good -rated school has a reputation for professionalism and a friendly working environment.
