What we’re looking for Kido are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join the team at Kido International Nursery & Preschool in South London! Includes Bonus Scheme For the Nursery Deputy Manager role, it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 3 minimum and have experience working within management in Early Years. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014. Unfortunately we are not able to support Sponsorship Application at this time. What you'll be doing! Lead nursery operations by ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the setting and maintaining high standards of care, education, and compliance. Manage and develop staff through supervision, appraisals, coaching, training, induction, and professional development opportunities. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) , overseeing safeguarding practices, referrals, staff training, and child protection procedures. Maintain health and safety compliance , including risk assessments, fire drills, medication administration, security, and adherence to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. Build strong relationships with families , working in partnership with parents to support children's individual needs and provide exceptional customer service. Ensure EYFS and Ofsted compliance by implementing policies, maintaining accurate records, monitoring quality, and leading inspection readiness. Drive high-quality teaching and learning by supporting curriculum delivery, monitoring observations and learning journeys, and promoting best practice in early years education. Oversee staffing and resource management , ensuring appropriate ratios, effective delegation, accurate record-keeping, and efficient use of resources.
