Year 6 Intervention Teaching Assistant – CF11 Area Location: CF11, Cardiff Start Date: September 2026 Agency: Teaching Personnel Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only About the Role Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated Year 6 Intervention Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in the CF11 area of Cardiff , starting in September. This role will focus on supporting Year 6 pupils through targeted intervention sessions, helping children build confidence and make progress ahead of their transition to secondary school. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver small group and 1:1 support, particularly in English and Maths. Key Responsibilities • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to Year 6 pupils. • Support children who require additional help to reach age-related expectations. • Work 1:1 and with small groups to improve attainment and confidence. • Monitor and record pupil progress. • Assist class teachers in preparing resources and adapting learning activities. • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. What We're Looking For • Previous experience working with primary-aged children. • Experience supporting literacy and numeracy interventions is desirable. • A patient, proactive and encouraging approach. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential.
