Key Responsibilities • Deliver targeted interventions 1:1 or in small groups , in line with Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and EHCPs • Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and report findings to the SENCO and class teachers • Support pupils in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, and communication skills • Implement positive behaviour support strategies , helping pupils to develop emotional regulation and interpersonal skills • Assist teachers in differentiating classroom activities to ensure access to the curriculum for all pupils • Liaise with parents, therapists, and external professionals to ensure consistent approaches • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development initiatives Person Specification • Proven experience in supporting SEN pupils or delivering targeted interventions • Strong literacy and numeracy knowledge • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in supporting diverse needs • Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant, ELSA, or SEN-specific training Desirable: experience with intervention programs such as Little Wandle, 1st Class@Number, or Lego Therapy .
