This is a full-time role within a supportive and inclusive school that is committed to improving outcomes and raising attainment across all ability ranges. Mathematics is a core subject within the school, with students developing confidence in number, algebra, geometry, statistics, and higher-level problem solving. About the Role You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering well-structured lessons that support both foundation and higher-tier students. The role includes preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, with a strong focus on exam technique, fluency, and reasoning skills. You will differentiate effectively to support mixed-ability groups while also challenging higher-attaining students through extension work. You will contribute to a collaborative Maths department focused on improving progress and attainment. Key Responsibilities • Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5 • Deliver clear and structured Maths lessons • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations • Track, assess, and report student progress • Support intervention and enrichment activities • Contribute to curriculum planning and resources • Maintain strong classroom management and engagement • Work collaboratively within the Maths department The School Environment This mixed comprehensive school in Northampton provides a supportive and inclusive environment where staff work together to raise standards and improve student outcomes.
