Job description

Teaching (or teaching practice) experience of KS2 and KS3 Working as a form tutor Ability to teach another subject at middle school level Experience of preparing students for KS2 SATs Analysis of student data to support planning Knowledge of strategies and techniques to raise achievement Set high expectations for students Promote good progress in lessons Demonstrate good subject knowledge Respond to needs and strengths of students Demonstrate a commitment to enrichment and extra-curricular activities Range of effective teaching styles Plan and teach well-structured lessons Accurately and productively use assessment Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment Empathise and understand the needs of students in accessing the curriculum - be able to support and challenge all students Excellent organisational and personal management skills An ability to work effectively as part of a team An ability to develop good working relationships with students, parents, staff and directors Effective time management and ability to make deadlines Proficient ICT skills Excellent standard of written and verbal communication Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
