Safeguarding Officer – Primary Academy – Lewisham A primary academy in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, working closely with staff, students, and external agencies. The Safeguarding Officer will be an essential part of the school's support team. Responsibilities: • Oversee all safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the school. • Provide training and support to staff on safeguarding issues. • Liaise with external agencies to ensure effective safeguarding measures. Experience and Qualifications: • Experience in safeguarding within an educational setting. • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and policies. • A clear DBS check.
