Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that are differentiated to meet individual learning needs. • Inspire pupils to develop confidence, curiosity and a positive attitude towards Science. • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure all learners can access the curriculum. • Support pupils in achieving their individual EHCP outcomes where applicable. • Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, adapting teaching where required. • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists and wider multi-disciplinary teams. • Promote positive behaviour through consistent and restorative approaches. • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) . • Has experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4. • Has experience working with pupils with SEND or a genuine passion for specialist education. • Can confidently differentiate lessons to meet a wide range of learning abilities. • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills. • Is patient, resilient and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners. • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. • Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).
