About the Role We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and adaptable teaching assistant to join our upper key stage 2 team. This role is essential in ensuring continuity of learning when teachers are absent or require PPA cover. You will lead whole-class teaching under an agreed system of supervision, following prepared plans and maintaining a positive learning environment. you will also be responsible in providing educational support for children needing intervention, as well as providing pastoral care to our children. Key Responsibilities Delivering whole-class lessons during PPA or teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task. Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment. Supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing, including working with small groups or individuals when required. Building positive relationships with pupils and staff to maintain high standards of learning. Upholding safeguarding procedures and modelling the school’s values at all times. We Are Looking For Experience working in a classroom setting, ideally with responsibility for whole-class supervision. Confidence in managing behaviour and delivering lessons from prepared plans. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching teams. A positive, resilient individual who values inclusion and contributes to the wider life of the school. A relevant qualification or experience in education. Needs to be at least Level 3 qualified in an educational field.
