About the role

Undertake reception duties, answering general telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc Arrangements for school trips, events etc. Provide general clerical administrative support, e.g. typing, photocopying, scanning, manual filing, emailing, completion of standard forms, and responding to routine correspondence/emails Maintain manual and computerised records and update management information systems and databases Produce lists/information/data as required, e.g. pupil data Sort and distribute mail Maintain and collate pupil reports Maintain stock and supplies, distributing as required Provide general advice and guidance to staff, pupils and other Timely and accurate completion of routine administrative tasks relating but not limited to: o Processing purchase orders and purchase invoices o Collection and processing of income (including banking) o Receipt and distribution of goods and services o Collation of staff overtime sheets and absences for authorisation o Any other financial transactions identified Follow the school’s Financial Management Policy (FMP) and local procedures in all matters with an emphasis on obtaining best value. Alert Line Manager of any issues identified beyond own remit. Manage own work to ensure that all deadlines specified by the Department for Education, Local Authority, Governors, Headteacher and FO/SBM are met. Promote the welfare of children and support the school in safeguarding children through relevant policies and procedures Promote equality as an integral part of the role, respecting differences, and treating everyone with fairness and dignity. Comply with school health and safety policies, procedures and rules, taking reasonable care of self and others.
