Administration Assistant Gooseacre Primary Academy 33.75 hours per week | Term Time Only | Permanent Closing Date: 25 September 2026 Interviews: Week commencing 28 September 2026 Be the welcoming face of a thriving primary academy Gooseacre Primary Academy is seeking a dedicated and organised Administration Assistant to join our supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in providing outstanding customer service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors. As a key member of our operations team, you will help ensure the academy runs smoothly each day, supporting the wider school community and playing an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the academy. Act as a professional first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies. Support reception operations, including answering enquiries and managing communications. Maintain accurate records and data across a range of school systems. Process purchase orders and assist with financial administration in line with Trust procedures. Support the organisation of school trips, events, parents' evenings and extracurricular activities. Assist senior leaders and the wider operations team with administrative tasks and projects. Contribute to communications with parents and carers through school platforms and digital channels. Support onboarding arrangements for new staff members. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a welcoming, safe and well-organised environment. What We're Looking For Previous experience in an administrative or customer-facing role. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Confidence using Microsoft Office and a range of IT systems. A professional approach when handling confidential and sensitive information. A flexible, proactive and solution-focused attitude. The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues and visitors. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
