About the role

Join Our at Wheelock Primary School! We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and hard-working Assistant Caretaker to join our dedicated team of staff at Wheelock Primary School. About the Role Position: Assistant Caretaker Hours: 25 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 12:30 to 18:00, 30min break included) Weeks: 52 weeks per year Salary: £16,754 (actual) Contract: Permanent What we're looking for A proactive and hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming school environment. Someone with the initiative to tackle maintenance issues and the vision to support ongoing improvements to our site and grounds. A strong team player who can build positive relationships with staff, contractors and suppliers. Confident in carrying out site checks, cleaning duties and ensuring the school is secure and ready each day. Comfortable using IT systems and supporting health and safety compliance. Desirable: Experience in a caretaking or site management role, with knowledge of health and safety requirements. Why Join Us? Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process.
