Assistant Headteacher

Main Purpose of the Role Lead and oversee Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1, and the Read Write Inc program Class based teacher in KS1 classroom for 0.6 days Model outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues to raise teaching standards Contribute to the strategic leadership of our large, rapidly improving school Promote and uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and equality Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Read Write Inc Support and develop high-quality teaching and learning across these areas Act as a role model of outstanding classroom practice, coaching and mentoring staff as needed Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and school improvement planning Work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to at all times Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the school Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the community Seek permission from your Governing Board for temporary release if currently employed elsewhere
