Bracken Hill School is an all-age Special School for children aged 4 to 18 years with a range of complex educational needs, associated social and emotional difficulties, and behaviours that can challenge.
This is an exciting new leadership opportunity to join Bracken Hill School as we continue to strengthen our provision and build on our ambition to provide the very best outcomes for our pupils. We are seeking an exceptional and passionate leader to take on the role of Assistant Headteacher (Teaching, Curriculum and Assessment) and play a pivotal role in shaping the quality of education across our school.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership for teaching, curriculum and assessment, working closely with the Head of School and Executive Headteacher to drive school improvement and ensure all pupils receive an ambitious, engaging and personalised education.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the strategic development of teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment across the school.
Drive improvements in the quality of education through evidence-informed practice, coaching and professional development.
Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities, including lesson visits, learning walks, work scrutiny and curriculum reviews.
Support leaders and staff to deliver ambitious learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
Use assessment and monitoring information effectively to improve outcomes for all learners.
Promote a culture of high expectations, collaboration, professional learning and continuous improvement.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and work closely with families, governors, trustees and external professionals.
