The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated colleague to the role of General Teacher with Assistant SENDCo responsibility. This is a key position within the Academy, combining high-quality classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities that support our commitment to inclusive education. The successful candidate will inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4, enabling them to achieve their full potential, while working alongside the SENDCo to coordinate and enhance provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. They will play a pivotal role in promoting high standards of achievement, supporting staff, students and families, and ensuring that all learners receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially and personally.
Potential
A colleague with a successful record of teaching with strong examination results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who have already gained Qualified Teacher Status).
A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the effective use of the Pupil Premium.
The ability to put vision into practice.
