Job description

Our highly specialist provision is seeking to appoint someone who is passionate about seeing young people succeed, to join our team as an Attendance Officer. 39 weeks per year 37 hours per week (term time plus 7 training days) This role is a varied one, based both in school and visiting student homes. You will be required to use your initiative, and work with small groups and supporting pupils one-to-one. Key Responsibilities Data Monitoring: Recording, tracking, and analyzing daily and persistent absence data. Family Engagement: Communicating with parents or carers regarding unexplained absences and sickness. Home Visits: Conducting visits to family homes alongside other pastoral staff to address severe attendance barriers. Interventions: Providing guidance to students and executing school attendance policies to improve overall outcomes. Safeguarding: Ensuring records align with statutory safeguarding guidelines like Keeping Children Safe in Education .
