About the role
The working hours for this role are expected to be 7.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is as soon as possible.
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Club Assistant to help create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children before the start of the school day. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the Breakfast Club, including preparing and serving healthy breakfasts, organising activities and ensuring children are well supervised at all times. Working closely with colleagues, you will help promote children's social, emotional, physical and creative development through positive interactions, play and structured activities. You will encourage independence, confidence, inclusion and positive behaviour, while building strong relationships with children and supporting their wellbeing. The role also involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding throughout the session. We are looking for someone with experience working with children, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment. Above all, you will share our commitment to creating a positive start to every child's school day and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
