Job description

St Raphael the Archangel CMAT are looking to recruit a Caretaker. This is a permanent, full time position, working 37 hours per week, all year round (52 weeks), working a split shift from 7 - 9.30am and 1 - 6pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7 - 9.30am and 1.30 - 6.00pm (Friday). Shift times are negotiable during school holidays. This role is based at St Marie's Catholic Primary School and Nursery, Rugby working across both the Dunchurch and Merttens Drive sites. The successful candidate will: Have experience of maintenance and facilities management services, ideally in a school setting Be able to work under broad direction and laid down procedures Be responsible for managing caretaking and cleaning services to all buildings forming the school site, ensuring a safe and secure environment Be responsible for undertaking minor or temporary maintenance and repairs Have experience of advising and reporting on all aspects of site maintenance, including risk assessments and COSHH Possess strong organisational, time management and interpersonal skills Contribute to the school’s statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children Be sympathetic towards the aims and ethos of our Catholic School As we strive to become an employer of choice, not only will you be joining a progressive multi-academy company, you will also receive a competitive benefits package: Health & wellbeing initiatives Continuous career and personal development Family friendly policies Excellent pension scheme Some of our roles attract a high level of interest and for this reason we review applications as they are received, therefore on occasions this means roles may close earlier than advertised; so early applications are highly recommended.
