Salary – Scale C5, £13.70 per hour (£26,427 FTE) Fixed Term until 31 August 2027 Part Time 35 hours per week Term Time plus 4 weeks (42 weeks) Required for 19 October 2026
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Caretaker to join our friendly team at Walpole Highway and West Walton School, helping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. Start date to be discussed at interview. Hours to be discussed and agreed with successful applicant.
Opening and securing the school premises each day Carrying out daily maintenance and minor repairs Ensuring the school site is clean, safe and well-presented Managing heating, lighting and security systems Overseeing site safety checks and risk assessments Monitoring contractors on-site and assisting with deliveries Maintaining playgrounds, gardens and outdoor areas Responding to any emergency maintenance issues
