Catering Assistant

Catering Assistant 11:30am - 1:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) We are looking for a reliable, friendly and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Holtspur School. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines preparing and serving lunchtime meals with supporting children during the lunchtime period. You will play an important part in ensuring our pupils enjoy a safe, positive lunchtime experience while helping to maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness. Key responsibilities include: Receiving and preparing delivered meals for service Serving lunches to pupils in a friendly and professional manner Supervising pupils during the lunchtime period and promoting positive behaviour Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety Cleaning the kitchen and serving areas after service Preparing food containers and equipment for collection What we're looking for: A caring and patient approach when working with children Good communication and teamwork skills A reliable, organised and flexible attitude The ability to follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and pupil welfare Previous experience in a catering, school or childcare setting would be welcomed, but is not essential Why join us?
