About the role

As part of the apprenticeship programme, you will gain hands-on experience, learn essential kitchen skills, and receive on-the-job training to build your confidence and knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for food, a strong work ethic, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, keeping up with the demand of busy periods and communicate well with staff, students, and visitors. As your skills develop, you'll play an increasingly important role in delivering a high-quality catering service. We are looking for a person who really wants to join our school and work with our young people. Combe Pafford is a wonderful place to work and if you feel like you are right person for us, we would love to hear from you. As part of the apprenticeship, you will be working towards a Level 2 Production Chef qualification. You will be required to attend Exeter College one day a week, you will have a skills assessor from the college who will also visit you in the cafe.
