About the role

Haxey C of E Primary Academy is seeking a Temporary Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave from 1 February 2027 to 31 August 2027. Please note that the contract may end earlier if the substantive postholder returns, in which case one month’s notice will be given. We are looking for an inspirational teacher who will be committed, enthusiastic and able to demonstrate deep knowledge and understanding of how children learn. Regardless of their starting point and background, we aim to enthuse, inspire and challenge all our pupils with a stimulating and relevant curriculum. We have high expectations of all our pupils and aim for the very highest standards in all areas of learning. We care deeply for every pupil and place a strong emphasis on pastoral care and support for children and families in our community.

We are looking for a Class Teacher who:

Understands the importance of establishing positive relationships with children within a Church School. Is committed and passionate about supporting us on our continued journey of improvement. Has a confident and robust knowledge of the National Curriculum. Has high expectations of behaviour, personal development, attitude and achievement. Is aspirational for every child. Will help children to develop a lifelong love of learning. Is reflective, forward-thinking and receptive to new ideas and approaches. In return, we can offer: A uniquely inclusive school with a strong Christian ethos and a tangible vision. Vibrant, compassionate children who are eager to learn. A kind and caring atmosphere where all our pupils and staff are valued. Supportive leadership that will contribute to your continued professional development within school and across Infinity Academies Trust. A hardworking, friendly, supportive and dedicated professional team of colleagues.

Regular opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from across Infinity Academies Trust to ensure our children are reaching their full potential. Partnerships with the Diocese of Lincoln, LEAD Teaching School Hub and The National College. A dedicated employee assistance programme delivered by Education Support, a resource that can help manage and navigate personal and professional pressures, helping to achieve a successful work-life balance and providing 24/7 counselling and financial guidance. School visits are highly recommended. If you would like to arrange a visit, or have an informal chat about this vacancy, please contact Daniel Callaghan (Executive Headteacher) on 01427 752294.
