The role

We are looking for a talented, imaginative and enthusiastic teacher to join our Key Stage 2 team and take responsibility for a Year 5 class. As well as creating effective, enjoyable learning environments, you will foster the social and emotional growth of our pupils – delivering high-quality teaching with warmth and challenge in a safe, engaging classroom.

We particularly welcome applications from Early Career Teachers – you'll be fully supported by a designated mentor and our ECT induction programme from day one.

This post is fixed-term, reflecting current pupil numbers on roll, and will be reviewed ahead of the 2027–28 academic year.

What we're looking for

You will be a values-driven, committed and resilient teacher, organised and effective, with a determination to make a difference. Specifically, we're looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with a degree-level qualification Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, including a successful KS2 placement during initial teacher training for ECTs The ability to plan and teach well-structured, well-adapted lessons that engage and challenge every pupil Strong knowledge of assessment for learning, and confident behaviour management The ability to safeguard and promote pupils' welfare, with emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviour Excellent communication skills, with children, colleagues and parents alike A collaborative, team-first approach and a commitment to your own professional development
