About the role

Scholes (Elmet) Primary School is looking for a full time class teacher to join our school, starting January 2027. The role is temporary in the first instance, ending August 2027. There is a possibility that the contract may be extended after this time, subject to school budgets. For our children, we're a happy and healthy place to learn. For our staff, we're a happy and healthy place to work: ‘It’s great to work with such supportive colleagues.’ ‘I feel valued as a part of the team.’ (Staff survey, 2026) We're seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher who shares our commitment to the highest standards, where our children can live and learn in a happy and safe environment. We're committed to raising attainment and accelerating progress through effective pedagogy, a comprehensive curriculum and rigour in everything we do.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they can be a successful member of our happy and healthy team. This includes someone who shows motivation and enthusiasm and great inter-personal skills.
