About the role

SEND Teacher - Redwood Provision Cutenhoe Hill Primary School Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex learning needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teacher to join our thriving Redwood Provision , working alongside our highly experienced SENDCo, specialist SEND teachers and Teaching Assistants. About Redwood In Summer 2023, Cutenhoe Hill Primary School proudly opened Redwood, a Local Authority Specialist Provision for children with complex learning needs. Our provision supports pupils whose attainment is significantly below age-related expectations, typically operating at least half their chronological age level. Pupils may present with a range of needs, including: Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Communication and Interaction Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Sensory Impairments Cognition and Learning Difficulties All pupils within Redwood have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) issued by the Local Authority. At Redwood, we provide a nurturing, engaging and highly personalised learning environment where every child is valued and supported to achieve their full potential. We are committed to developing independence, confidence and self-expression, whilst ensuring pupils feel safe, understood and successful. Our child-centred curriculum is carefully tailored to meet individual needs through bespoke planning, targeted interventions and well-adapted learning experiences. Positive communication, meaningful relationships and social interaction are at the heart of everything we do.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

Has a strong understanding of a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Demonstrates experience of supporting children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. Has substantial experience working within SEND settings (applications from those without SEND experience will not be considered). Is nurturing, resilient and committed to achieving the very best outcomes for all pupils. Is an excellent team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Is reflective in their practice and committed to continuous professional development. Has high aspirations for every child and a genuine passion for inclusive education. Applications from experienced teachers and those on the Upper Pay Scale are welcomed. Salary will be considered according to relevant experience and expertise with an added SEN allowance.

About Our School

Cutenhoe Hill Primary School is a welcoming and ambitious two-form entry primary school with a 16-place specialist SEND provision. We cater for higher than average level of Send both in provision and mainstream therefore we have set up a mainstream provision. We benefit from an extensive school site, excellent facilities and a thriving nursery. Our greatest strength, however, is our wonderful children and dedicated staff team.
