About the role

Year 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover) Full-Time | 1 February 2027 - 31 August 2027 Redbourn Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and talented teacher to join our friendly and supportive team as a Year 2 Class Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to teach a lovely class of children in a thriving village primary school with high expectations, a strong sense of community and a commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and those earlier in their teaching career who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning. The Successful Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Have experience of teaching within Key Stage 1. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and child development. Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive. Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour. Be committed to ensuring all pupils make excellent progress. Work effectively as part of a supportive team. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider school community. Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
