About Buckden CE Primary Academy A warm, semi-rural maintained primary serving a caring community. We embrace a Christian ethos: Agape, Courage and Thankfulness guide how we teach, lead and support one another. Context: 24.8% of pupils have additional needs (SEND) with 5.2% on EHCPs; 8% are eligible for free school meals. Our current absence rate is 4.4%. We follow the OFSTED (2025) inspection framework and are committed to high standards of safeguarding, inclusion, curriculum quality and pupils’ personal development. School improvement priorities include strengthening curriculum expertise across all subjects (including EYFS), building effective leadership systems, nurturing positive relationships and embedding a meaningful approach to staff and pupil well-being. About the role This post is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a school on a clear improvement journey. You will: Deliver high-quality teaching that brings our curriculum to life for every child you teach. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop consistent, effective practice across subjects and key stages (EYFS expertise welcomed). Support inclusive practice so all pupils, including those with SEND, make strong progress. Contribute to positive relationships across the school and model our Christian values in day-to-day practice. Is skilled at meeting the needs of diverse learners, including children with SEND, and can create inclusive, nurturing classroom environments.
