Teacher- Maternity Cover This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and motivated teacher. West Monkton C of E Primary School is a thriving two-form entry school, with a large nursery, and is part of The Oak Partnership Trust. Overview of the role We are seeking an excellent, enthusiastic teacher to join our teaching staff for a maternity cover placement to start on Monday 2nd November 2026. The teaching role will be within Key Stage 2- Year 4. Key requirements Qualified Teacher Status Passion and commitment for inspiring through teaching and learning Solid knowledge of the Key Satge 2 curriculum The ability to build on and develop existing best practice knowledge Excellent communication and ability to build relationships Good classroom management skills We can offer: Engaged and enthusiastic pupils who thrive within a supportive environment A warm, supportive and inclusive school community A hardworking and dedicated team High quality professional development While this role is primarily a classroom teacher position, we are always committed to supporting career progression. There may be opportunities for involvement in leadership development activities during the contract period, subject to the schools needs and candidate interest. Temporary position: FTE 1.0 Maternity Cover Contract for up to 1 year Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale - dependent on experience Applications close : 11th September 2026 at 9am.
