Salary: Scale C £13.70 per hour Temporary until 25 March 2027 (linked to named SEN pupil) Part Time 27.5 hours per week Term Time + 1 week Required ASAP

We wish to appoint an SEN 1:1 Classroom Assistant to join our successful school supporting a child with special educational needs in KS1. Our school is a child centred and family friendly school where children feel safe and happy and where everyone shares a love of learning. You will be supported by a small, dedicated staff team who aim for the highest standards and offered on-going professional development opportunities. This would suit someone looking to move into a primary school setting. We are looking for someone who will; Ensure they know the needs of all our children and provide support to meet individual needs Invest in and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual in our school community Foster and understand that knowledge, wisdom and skills are achieved through hard work and perseverance Demonstrate empathy, compassion and forgiveness so that we all have the courage to take risks and learn from our mistakes Grow global citizens who value others and cherish themselves Have the ability and experience to confidently and competently manage challenging behaviour Have high expectations of learning and behaviour Have excellent communication skills with pupils, colleagues and parents Enjoy being part of a small, child centred team who achieve high standards in an ethos based on its Christian core values We can offer you; Enthusiastic children who are happy and eager to learn A supportive, purposeful, friendly and cohesive staff team Supportive parents and carers On-going professional development opportunities A motivating workplace which has high expectations of its staff whilst protecting their well being Working hours are 8:45 – 15:15 Monday-Friday. Visits are most welcome by appointment.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post.
