Job description

Manor Multi Academy Trust - Manor Primary School Cleaner NJC Grade 2: £12.85 - £13.05 per hour 15 hours per week - term time plus two weeks in school holidays Monday - Friday - 3.30pm - 6:30pm Manor Primary School are looking to appoint, a reliable, flexible and practical individual. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a clean, tidy, hygienic, safe and well maintained, learning environment. General duties will include ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school and that security is maintained at all times to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school premises. The successful candidate will need to be fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the job. Possess good individual and team skills and be ready to deal with a variety of situations and challenges. Our cleaning operative will need to be flexible at all times and will be required to work as and when the school requires a deeper clean during school shutdown periods. There will be a requirement to undertake training appropriate to the post. Please note annual leave must be taken during school holidays. Previous experience of cleaning, safe use of chemicals and using cleaning machinery would be desirable but isn’t essential as full training will be given. At interview, candidates will be asked for photo identification and where applicable proof of qualifications. The appointment is also subject to the School receiving two satisfactory references. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a full enhanced DBS check with children barred list will be carried out as part of the pre-employment checks for the successful candidate.
