Cleaner

Salary: Band A. Full Time Equivalent salary: £25,614 per annum. Actual salary range is £9797 for 15 hours per week, 43 weeks per year Hours of work: 15 hours per week. Monday to Friday. 3.25pm - 6.25pm Contract: Permanent, Part Time, Term time plus 4 weeks during school holidays (total 43 weeks per year) Henley in Arden School are looking for a Cleaner to join our friendly school and provide an efficient support service to the school by ensuring a clean, safe and secure learning environment. Opportunities don’t arise very often to work in a vibrant school like Henley in Arden and we are delighted to be offering the chance for someone to join the team. The key responsibilities for this post are as follows (a comprehensive job description and person specification are available): Daily cleaning and deep cleaning To keep all areas of the school clean and tidy, e.g. mopping, vacuuming, dusting, floor polishing, toilet cleaning Use of mechanical equipment, e.g. floor polishing Ensure equipment is in good working order First aid Safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults

Qualities & Qualifications required:

A reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy, with a willingness to undergo future training and development Ability to carry out manual handling and other physical tasks Good communication skills with the ability to talk with school staff, pupils, parents and contractors Basic understanding of IT Daily cleaning and deep cleaning experience Basic knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation relative to the post
