About the role

Cleaning Assistant Stony Dean School, Amersham Salary: Bucks Pay Range 1A, point 5 (£12.77 per hour) Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday (2 hours per day, after 3:30pm) Working Pattern: Term Time Only Reporting to: Site Manager Join Our Team Stony Dean School is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cleaning Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive school environment. Working as part of our Site Team, you will play an important role in ensuring the school remains clean, hygienic and ready for learning each day. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Clean designated areas of the school to a high standard Sweep, vacuum and wash floors Dust and polish surfaces, fixtures and fittings Clean toilets and washroom facilities Clean internal windows to a specified height Empty bins and remove waste from the premises Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and appropriately Report any maintenance issues or damage to the Site Manager Undertake occasional non-routine cleaning duties as required Attend training relevant to the role What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Friendly, approachable and positive Reliable, hardworking and takes pride in maintaining high standards Able to work independently and as part of a small team Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties Committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment Possesses a good sense of humour and a flexible approach to work Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
